CORN
"Bio polyols" are eco-friendly vegan materials obtained from non-food and GMO-free corn crops made with recycled polyester supports from plastic bottles.
The production is 100% Made in Italy in respect of the environment, human health and the animal world.
The use of clean energy, generated by photovoltaic systems that reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, is proof of this.
The ISO: 9001: 2008 - ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS18001: 2007 certifications guarantee high levels of quality and safety for the environment and human health.

PINEAPPLE
Piñatex® is an eco-friendly vegan material obtained from the leaves of the pineapple plant, a by-product of the fruit industry, which are traditionally discarded or burned.
Once the fibres have been stripped from the leaves, they are then washed and dried naturally in the sun.
They then undergo a purification process and are mixed with corn-based polylactic acid (PLA).
The fiber is colored using pigments.

Where do we recover plastic?
Here's what happens.
The municipalities collect – each in their own way – and the plastic is sent to the various sorting plants.
Before being sent for recycling, plastics must be separated from contaminants (metal or paper) and divided according to their chemical composition and characteristics. The material is then sold by the consortium to recycling plants at European level through online auctions. Following a careful study and selection of controlled and GRS certified suppliers, we entrust the recycled plastic materials purchased to Italian professionals who create solvent-free coatings for us, thus giving shape to the final material of our sneakers. The use of recycled plastics leads to significant savings in terms of money, energy and emissions. Just think that two kilograms of oil are needed to produce one kilogram of virgin plastic.
Compared to the production of virgin raw materials, regenerating PET allows for a reduction in energy consumption of up to 90 percent, and in greenhouse gas emissions of up to 95 percent.
